It was when I was pregnant with my daughter back in 1995 I decided I was going to be a
professional photographer, up until that point I had never used a SLR only compacts.
When my daughter was 3 months old I enrolled on a City & Guilds course, that led me
onto a full time 3 year OCN Professional Photography course at Sheffield Norton
College. My daughter attended the college creche whilst I studied all aspects of
professional photography including meduim and large format, lighting and business.
After gaining my qualifications I started work within the industry, first working as an
Assistant at weekends and also in a pro-am photography lab in the E6 department, I then
went on to become self employed. I have succesfully shot over 200 weddings, with over
10 years experience working within the photographic industry.
Early last year I was proud to gain qualifications with The British Institute of
Professional photography and The Master Photographers Association. I don’t class my
job as work because I love every minute of it, even the endless hours in post production.
My work is full time and I love all the interesting people I meet along the way. |
